Support

NextRun suggests your next run from your own Strava activities. This page answers the questions athletes ask most often. If it does not solve your problem, email notlandedb+nextrun@gmail.com.

Getting started

  1. Open NextRun and choose Connect with Strava.
  2. Approve read access to your activities on Strava’s sign-in page.
  3. Your plan for today and tomorrow appears on the home page once your runs have loaded.

NextRun only reads your activities. It cannot post, edit or delete anything on Strava.

Common questions

Why do I see a simple suggestion instead of a personal plan?

Personal targets need history. With fewer than 3 recent runs on Strava, NextRun suggests an easy run based on your typical distance. Keep recording runs and the plan will become more specific.

Why does it say no runs were found?

NextRun reads runs that are already on Strava. If you have just finished a run, make sure it has synced to Strava, then reload the page. Activities that are not runs, such as rides or walks, are not used for the plan.

Why are there no heart rate targets?

Heart rate targets need heart rate data from your runs. If your runs on Strava do not include heart rate, NextRun leaves those targets out and still shows distance and pace.

Why does my plan look different from yesterday?

The plan is recalculated from your latest runs, so a new run, or a run moving out of the recent history, can change it. Each plan explains its reasoning under “Why this session”.

Strava sign-in did not work. What should I do?

Try again from the home page. If you pressed cancel on Strava’s page, NextRun needs that access to plan your runs, so you will need to approve it. If the error repeats, check that you are not blocking pop-ups or third-party cookies for NextRun, then contact us.

Can I use NextRun on more than one device?

Yes, but your Strava connection and cached runs are stored separately in each browser. Connect NextRun again on each device you use.

Managing your data

NextRun does not keep an account or store your activities on our servers, except the training data in feedback you choose to send, which is kept in our database. For details, read the privacy policy.
